Jimoh Ojindo was born in the year 1918, at Abeokuta, Western State of Nigerian. He received his early education in Lagos from where he later jumped to apprenticeship on bricklaying through the financial background. He was influenced into the music world as a result of his attractive voice while singing on duty in order to lessen his weary. Mr Abu, the then Sakara Band leader persuaded him to join his Group as to boost the play.

After sometime of play in Lagos, he left the group for Abeokuta where he joined another group led by Mr Tiamiyu Aramoka. After sometime of association, he left the group to establish his Sakara Band Group during which he made his early recording with U.A.C. at Accra, Ghana. He later made recordings with a group of Record Dealers, otherwise known as ‘Angard’ where he sang ‘Ogun Owo Ori’ which laid emphasis on fabulous payment of tax rate by the people of Egba Land. From this song, he came to limelight in music when more than Two thousand copies of these records were sold through out Nigeria and West Africa. He later made series of recordings with ‘DECCA GROUP RECORDS’. His hobbies includes watching television and listening to music.
